At Alpacas of Wales we understand the investment you are making when selecting a Stud male to cover your females and we have adjusted our service fees to make sure they are affordable and competitive, offering a further discount for purchasing a package of matings. We have invested in excellent genetics since starting our breeding programme in 2003 and have progeny from our males here for inspection; we are delighted with what our boys have achieved, evidenced by the desirable traits we see in their offspring.

Biosecurity Farm and alpaca biosecurity is very important to us . We no longer offer on farm stud services or agistment however we are still happy to offer drive by and mobile stud services; all parties have peace of mind and benefit from the improved biosecurity PLUS any crias at foot get to stay at home for owners to enjoy! Drive by Services Clients wishing to buy Stud services will be offered these on a 'drive by' basis. Females will be mated in a separate penned area which is disinfected before and after use - the area is away from our own alpacas and our Stud males are kept separately from our female groups Mobile Stud Services We can offer mobile Stud services following a risk assessment of the facility offered by the client; we will require an enclosed/penned area away from other alpacas which is capable of being disinfected General Terms & Conditions 1. Alpacas of Wales offer a three day live cria guarantee. If your cria should die in this time then we will offer a return service at no charge (mileage not included). A veterinary certificate will be required 2. There will be a charge of £0.75 per mile (round trip) for transport of males for mobile services; we cannot always guarantee the dates you would like but will always try to meet your needs 3. For mobile & drive by services a maximum of three visits are included in the price (mileage not included for mobile services). If the female in question is not pregnant after the third successful mating we recommend that the female should be checked by a vet or the owner can substitute the female for another. 4. When a client books a stud service they are committing to the service and the service fee is payable no matter what the pregnancy outcome. 5. If after the services have been carried out, the female(s) do not fall pregnant or lose their pregnancy, the stud service will be valid for the following season and fee is payable after an invoice has been received. 6.
